The Gadgetabulous Story
From seed to birth to flight!
The idea for gadgetabulous.com was born in 2008 in Chico, California. My first customer was a friend who sold me a large collection of books, CDS and DVDs, and an entertainment cabinet to lighten his moving load. After making a modest profit reselling these items, I began seeking other items to resell, and continued looking for ways to make cash through re-commerce. I expanded my buying market, finding items at local thrift stores, garage sales, and online classifieds and offered fair prices and resold the items through a variety of outlets.
Over the next few years, I found that while there were a few online marketplaces,
there weren't many options for people to get a fair price without
having to deal with the inconsistencies, fees, or hassles of online classifieds
or auction sites. As an alternative, I decided that my business model would
simplify the process by offering competitive prices, fast payment,
and free shipping on qualified orders.
Having a passion for sustainability, gadgetabulous.com helps to prolong the life cycle of consumer
goods. We do our part by offering e-waste services with certified recyclers and
also offer an option for donating a portion of proceeds to your favorite charity.
Our goal is to give people an extremely simple option for selling their items online. We will do whatever it takes to beat our competitors' offers! We take the guesswork and extra fees out of the process so that you get a fair price for your item, hassle-free.
